Bond University is Australia’s first private not-for-profit university located in Robina, Queensland, and was founded in 1989.Bond University is the No.1 Australian University for Student Experience, according to the 2019 edition of The Good Universities Guide. James Cook University (JCU) is the second oldest university in Queensland, established in 1970, and a multi-campuses institution with main campuses in the tropical cities of Cairns, Singapore and Townsville, with smaller study centres in Mount Isa, Thursday Island and Mackay. The university also has a campus in Brisbane, operated by Russo Higher Education. There are 21,972 students from 108 countries and 4,698 staff in the university. The University of Queensland (UQ) was founded in 1909, and one of Australia’s leading research and teaching universities. The university of Southern Queensland was established in 1967, and its main campus is based in Toowoomba, with three university campuses at Toowoomba, Springfield and Ipswich. The University of Sunshine Coast (USC) was established in 1994, and based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
